Shantou China Restaurants
Restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley have long had access to Sichuan, Yunnan and Dongbei specialties, but opportunities have grown elsewhere. Chinese restaurants, North Chinese sling restaurants - noodles have popped up in Beverly Hills and San Pedro. Chenguan gourmets can enjoy soups and dumplings at restaurants in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Bernardino and Riverside County.
The Teo-chew kitchen is also known for steamed rice noodles and other dishes, as well as a wide selection of seafood. The restaurant is run by chef Qiu Xinfa, who is well versed in marinating raw seafood, and the house specialty is prawn dumplings soup.
It is served in a large bowl covered with small treats to be mixed with the noodles, and often with youtiao. This is a remarkable feast in the Teochew kitchen, requiring a large bowl of rice noodles and a generous portion of prawn dumplings. It is often eaten with a side of chicken or pork, but it comes in many different forms, such as rice noodle soup, steamed rice or even rice and pork soup.

If you're worried about eating street food, there are restaurants at Chaozhou Hotel where you can find some of the most popular Teochew classics. You can enjoy Beijing Duck on the cheap, but if you want to romp around for a fancy restaurant, behave.
Beef meatballs are also very popular in Chaoshan and can be ordered in a typical beef hotpot restaurant. If you don't have a place to go just to eat braised goose, there's always something to braise in this restaurant, even if it's only for a few hours.
In general, there is nothing like the culinary experiences you get in China, but in Guangdong it is very popular.
The great thing is that the name is associated with a dish from Beijing and Beijing duck restaurants are in China, so it's generally just as good no matter where you go. The menu at Teochew Restaurant has a dessert section, but it is usually only open for a limited time and only on weekends.

The great thing is that these dumplings are suitable for all tastes and there are many variations of them, so you have a wide choice when you travel to China. When I come here, I absolutely have to try my favourite traditional food, and of all the dishes here, it is probably the only one where you can get something relatively similar in a Chinese restaurant at home. It is not possible to write an endless blog about traditional foods in China, because I have to keep it short and crisp by selecting some of the amazing dishes to try.
